Not very many people are visiting the News section of istudents. So I have decided that we need to have a debate. There are many problems in todays society and I'd like to know what everyone thinks. Just post a comment on year opinion on each problem. Dont feel bad about your opinion. Everyone has their own.

1. It had a point. We got rid of a very bad man, and in time Iraq will be a better country.
2. He's fine. Not the best, but, hey, being president is hard!
3. We should be concerned about it. But not totally freaked out. The earth has had heat fluctuations like this one before. In the middle ages there was a heat wave like this, and it was much worse.

5. I think that the semester classes are going to make obesity rates go higher up. I usually get my excercise from dance and cheer and stuff, but without P.E. for half the year, many people will get obese.

2 NO offense but he won the 1st time becuase the votes got messed up and the second time because people got scared of changing presidents in the middle of a war. He really dousn't know what he's doing and has done much worse than other leaders.
3 Its bad. We need to figure out how to use less oil. Not only is the earth warming up but we are using up all of our recources. In a decade or 2 global warming is going to be at a point where we can't do anything but just sit back and watch our earth die unless we do something to stop it now.
4 (just so u know i didn't specify this one, i meant underage marrige and gay marrige) I think that at a young age people tend to let their emotions take over and they fall in love and think that they have to get maried. I thik that underage marrige is bad. Gay marrige I have no problem with. If two men love each other or two women who cares. Since when duz the government have a say in with who a person falls in love with. The thing about love is that its with a person. Even though you may not think that gay people should get married think about it this way. These people are in love and want to spend the rest of their life together. They have to hear from people saying things like "thats gay" or "gay ppl suck" and then you go and tell them that they cant even marry people that they love. I think that telling gay and lesbian people not to get married is just wrong and its not like their not gonna fall in love.
5 Obesity is a huge problem and even though its not affecting me personally i think that we shoudl take action. Other countries are now picuteing americans as huge fat people eating a burger. Its awful people need to work out more. In fact i think that schools should require PE for all grades since obesity dousn't affect a cetain age and offices should have a gym. ON the news there was this office that had a gym andthe people there took advantage of it and started working out daily.
6 Look back to about 6 or 7 years ago. You could leave your front door open or not lock all of your doors and not feel like someone would break in. Now people are freaked out about going downtown alone because there are so many crimes now adays. Its just awful. The goverment needs to enforce laws ven better. That could mean giving police men a better salary becuase they dont get paid enough or getting more police men. What ever they do it needs to be done, and soon.

1. we should of taken out the bad leader (huseein) with a simple, strike, and left it alone instead of taking over and reforming.

a) will marry after i am 20
B) will marry to someone i really like, for all the right reasons.
C) i will marry someone who will let me have some time to myself, and will e open with me all the time
D) (most important) i will marry a female, not a male
5. that is a problem that i do not deal wiht. personally, i hink it is sad that people don't have the willpower to go on a diet. unless prevented my a medical condition then i am sorry for them

3. back to marrige. i think that if people have sex and feel obligated to marry, that is once again something that they have done to themselves.
3 again. Gays have there own problems. they go against some law of nature (opposites atract(male + female)) and they can't have kids. but that is their choice, i guess

1. The war in Iraq was very unnecessary. They are on the other side of the world, and so many men and women have been killed fighting for something that pretty much only the president wants done. I have to admit, though, I am kind of biased about this subject and have never really looked on the other side that much. I guess it is good that we got rid of a bad man, but so many lives have been lost for something that could have been fixed by someone else (sorry if I sound mean).
2. He's made bad decisions, he hasn't listened to what he country wants... but what concerns me most is that the people who voted for him are now the people that complain about his reign each day.
3. I think this is a very big issue indeed... but it might not affect our generation as much as our kids or grandkids.
4. I think gay marriage is disturbing and is against the laws of nature... but hey I can't argue if they feel that way good for them. Underage marriage is very bad because young kids can't really take care of a family as well as people in their 20's and 30's can. For instance Jamie Lynn Spears - her baby isn't going to be raised properly because she hasn't even married the father and she's only 16.
5. Obesity rates are high but if everyone just took care of themselves we wouldn't have this problem so I just worry about my weight and not really butt into other people's business.
6. I think that the police forces need to do something about the crime rate but at least we're safer than Iraq so I'm not complaining.

4. There is nothing wrong with gay marriage. How would YOU feel if YOU were gay and someone went up to you and started going, "OMG! YOU WIERDO! YOU'RE GAY!" Besides, they probably think that we're wierd for being straight.
Underage marriage is a problem. But it's not my problem if some hormonic teenager thinks she's madly in love and gets married at the age of whatever. They teach us not to do stuff like that in school for years.

Why's gay marriage bad? Because God made man and woman for each other. When Adam wanted a companion, did He make another guy? No! Men and women are meant to marry and have children. Loving the same gender in a spouse-kind-of-way is not God's plan for us.
About underage marriage, I'm not like against it, but it's not a good idea. However, I think that if you have intercourse when you're fifteen you probably should end up marrying your partner.

Just because God made man and woman for each other doesn't mean that it has to be that way. First of all, it's their way of life. If you look at it from their view, then you might think that it's different. Also, there are exceptions for every rule. There's nothing wrong with gay marriage. Ok! I get it! Some people don't beleive in God and that's perfectly fine! But since forever in pretty much all cultures gay marriage has been accepted as wrong. And I don't hate gay people! I know some very nice gay guys and they are really awesome peeps! And excuse me for sounding perverted, but sexuality is a gift from God. And the whole homosexuality thing totally is ruinging that gift!
BUt, sexual orientation is ingrained in the brain, part nature(meaning born with it, part nuture(part gained throughout lfe). MOstly nature though, so, if ur born gay, how r u ruining the gift. They cant make themselves straight anymore than I a straight person cna make themselves gay
